Frederik Abas is a seasoned DJ with deep roots in the Dutch electronic music scene.
Starting in the early ‘90s, his passion quickly evolved from a hobby into a lifelong career.
Inspired by pioneers like DJ Marcello and Dimitri Kneppers, Frederik developed a style
that blends energetic, danceable beats with underground influences.
Over the years, Frederik has become a familiar face on both national and international
stages. As a resident DJ at Amsterdam’s iconic Escape nightclub since 2005, he has
kept crowds moving with his monthly performances. He’s played at renowned festivals
like Loveland, held an eight-year residency, and performed alongside big industry names
such as Tiësto, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Don Diablo, Quintino, and Sidney
Samson. One of his career highlights includes being personally invited by Tiësto to
deliver an extended 3.5-hour tech-house set.
Frederik’s sound blends house, electro, progressive, and Afrohouse influences, creating
a unique musical identity that resonates with diverse audiences. His sets are known for
their energy and connection with the crowd, making every performance an unforgettable
experience.
As a producer, Frederik has collaborated with artists like Nathan Brumley and Alicia
Madison. His track “Wild” featuring Alicia Madison was named “Track of the Week”
on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Radio Show, showcasing his ability to merge energy and
emotion in his music.
In 2024, Frederik celebrated three decades of DJing. Looking ahead to 2025, he’s
preparing to drop multiple releases, mixes and develop his own radio show, continuing to
push boundaries and inspire audiences worldwide.
"Welcome on board Flight – my monthly radio show, taking you on a journey through the best in house, progressive, and underground sounds. Expect a mix of high-energy anthems, deep cuts, and hidden gems that keep the dancefloor moving. Fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride!"
